Oct 8 (Lagos) - Cristiano Ronaldo has become the first active football player to become a billionaire.
Cristiano Ronaldo is a living legend, started his career in Portugal before moving to Manchester United where he won every title in the club football playbook.
After that feat, he moved to Real Madrid and was part of the golden years at that club under the manager Zidane where they won 3 consecutive European champion league titles.
Moved on the Juventus where Serie A titles followed.
Returned to Manchester United but fell out with the club's then manager and moved on to the Saudi league for eye-watering sums on money. Today he is brand ambassador of the Islamic kingdom of Saudi Arabia and continues to light up the Saudi football league.
The only trophy that eluded him has been the FIFA World Cup with Portugal. Winning that would cement him as the greatest player of all time and bring him on par with the likes of Lionel Messi, his great contemporary, who led Argentina to world cup title in 2022.
The next world cup is in 2026 in North America. Can Ronaldo win the FIFA World Cup too?
