May 27 (Lagos) - The market unexpectedly closed the session positive with significant recoveries posted in most of the sectors. Given today’s 106bps gain. Analysts at Vetiva securities think that we are likely to see the week close positive while activity level stay elevated as investors take advantage of price dip in the some of the fundamentally sound names.
Stocks to Watch
On the bid Cart: Following the losses posted earlier in the week,
CHAMPION finished with a price appreciation of 9.94% to settle at N 3.76. The brewery company has posted a YTD return of 60.00%.
On the Offer Cart:
UACN closed on the top losers chart after a 9.69% decline in its share price. The stock closed the session lower at N 11.65, reducing YTD return to 22.63%.
Market breadth closed positive for the first time this week at 2.45x after 27 stocks closed in the green and 11 declined.
