Crude oil prices slide after Iran-Israel ceasefire

June 24 (Lagos) - Crude oil prices slid more than 3% after Israel and Iran reached a ceasefire agreement after a 14 day war. The ceasefire was mediated by the US.

Brent crude oil price was down by 3.2% to $69.20 per barrel while Brent oil futures were lower by 3.2% to $ 66.21 per barrel in New York at the time of writing this article.

The fall in crude oil price will come as a relief to Nigerian petrol consumers as the recent spikes had pushed the pump price to near 929 per litre in Lagos.
