Nov 29 (Lagos) - Legendary investor Mr. Charlie Munger has passed away aged 99 years old in USA. He was famous for making some of the best investment decisions ever and also a close friend of Warren Buffet and a fellow investor and Vice Chairman of Berkshire Hathaway Corporation. We are talking about a Company with a bigger GDP than the GDP of whole of Africa combined.
He was famous for finding companies at cheap valuations and getting "free puffs" out of them in what he called as Cigar butt strategy of investing.
Recently he cautioned against crypto-currencies and warned the youth to not be carried away by short term gains based on no clear fundamentals.
In a statement on Tuesday, Buffett said, "Berkshire Hathaway could not have been built to its present status without Charlie's inspiration, wisdom and participation."
