Sep 22 (Lagos) - Taxi hailing app UBER has lost the license to operate in London from Sep 30 on wards.
Regulator Transport for London (TfL) said Uber's conduct posed risks to public safety and it would not renew its license when it expires on Sept. 30.
"Uber's approach and conduct demonstrate a lack of corporate responsibility in relation to a number of issues which have potential public safety and security implications," TfL said.
Uber said it would challenge the order in court.
This is a huge blow to Uber and could set a precedent for other major cities to ban the app where Company faces massive opposition from unions and taxi associations.
