Dec 5 (Lagos) - US President Trump has managed to broker another peace deal this time between mineral rich DR Congo and its neighbor Rwanda. The peace deal would open the door for US Companies to mine rare earth minerals from the Central African region which are critical to AI infrastructure development if the USA is to keep up with the way China is advancing in AI.
However the fighting is still on-going on the ground even as the peace accord was signed in Washington under the US influence.
US President said that they are going to send the biggest US Companies in to Congo and Rwanda and that everyone was going to make a lot of money. He also said that "We're settling a war that's been going on for decades," Trump said. "They spent a lot of time killing each other, and now they're going to spend a lot of time hugging, holding hands, and taking advantage of the United States of America economically - like every other country does."
Whether this is a peace deal or a business deal is yet to be seen and hopefully it will be beneficial to people of these Countries that actually hold the minerals.
