INDIA invites NIGERIA to G-20 summit in 2023   


Sep 14 (Lagos) - India will host the G-20 Leaders' summit in 2023 on September 9-10th which will see the developed world and  emerging markets come together. These countries the world's major developed and developing economies comprising 19 Countries and the European Union.


Apart from the 19 Countries and the E.U, India will be inviting guest countries and Nigeria has been selected to be among the guest countries at the summit. Other guest Countries are Bangladesh, Egypt, Mauritius, Netherlands, Oman, Singapore and the UAE.


The G-20 countries account for 85% of global GDP, 75% of international trade and two thirds of the world population. 


After the 2023 elections in Nigeria, The G-20 summit could be an ideal location for Nigeria's new President to meet with world leaders and make deals that could spur economic growth in the Country. 


India will assume the Presidency of the G-20 from Dec 1 2022 to Nov 30, 2023.
