The E-Naira can play a huge role in improving financial inclusion in the Country. It can also foster faster payment of government subsidies to recipients and help check leakages in the system.
We have all been using digital banking for some years now and the immediate past Governor of the CBN played a huge role in adoption of CASHLESS Naira transactions. This will create a new way for FG to send money to beneficiary of its schemes in real time and also make sure that people actually receive the funds.
The current CBN regime benefits from the "CASHLESS" foundation laid by ex-CBN Governor and this E-Naira is the next step towards that development.
