President Trump acquitted from all charges

Feb 65 (Lagos) - The US President has been acquitted of all charges by the US Senate. The Senate, run by the president's fellow Republicans, voted to acquit him 52-48 on charges of abuse of power and 53-47 on obstruction of Congress.

President was impeached by the house which is controlled by the Democrats but it was always going to be very difficult if not impossible to remove him from office because Democrats lacked the numbers in the Senate.

The President called the whole impeachment saga a hoax many times and the party called it a shame.

President has said that he will address the nation tomorrow and speak more about the case. The popularity of President Trump has risen a lot throughout the impeachment trial and reached him personal best of 49% this week according to a poll by gallup.

It has turned out to be a shocking turn of events for the democrats who seemed to undermine the American public opinion and harped on a non-issue. Ever since President Trump was elected, the democrats have been bitter rivals especially Nancy Pelosi the speaker of the house who actually tore the transcripts of the Presidents speech after the state of the union address yesterday.

This is an election year and the democrats must be extremely nervous about what will happen come November. American people are not likely to forget the booming economy, declining unemployment especially among African Americans and manufacturing boom which is happening throughout the mid-west.

2020 election could turn out to be a annihilation for the democrats especially after this impeachment saga which most Americans are likely to view as a huge waste of time and money.
