Futures up on US - JAPAN trade deal

Aug 26 (Lagos) - The US stock market futures rose sharply in a turn of sentiment as the US and Japan announced that they have agreed to a trade deal where Japan will buy excess US corn. “It’s a very big transaction, and we’ve agreed in principle. It’s billions and billions of dollars. Tremendous for the farmers,” President Trump told reporters at the G7 summit in France.

The deal comes in the shadow of the tough on going trade war with China. President Trump said “China called last night our trade people and said let’s get back to the table,”

NASDAQ futures rose more than 1% while the S&P500 was up 0.76% at the time of writing this article.
