26 July 2019 : Biggest telecoms that have engulfed the nation are all set to enter into the financial technological world - MTN Nigeria and Airtel Africa Plc are waiting for CBN to provide regulatory approvals payment service bank license (PSB). In order to achieve the mission of reduction of unbanked Nigerians by 20%, the apex bank had laid out some regulations and guidelines back on 2018 for the operation of Payment Service Banks ( PSBs) in Nigeria.

Telecom operators in Nigeria applied for payment service banks license since 2018, but still haven't received any judgement yet.
