Annual inflation for September 2018, released by the Nigerian Bureau of Statistics, shows inflation rose for a second consecutive month in 2018 by 11.28% y/y.
Headline Inflation rose to 11.28% y/y (0.05% higher than 11.23% y/y in August 2018.
The food sub-index rose to 13.31% y/y from 13.16% y/y in August, while the All items less farm produce sub-index dropped by 9.80% y/y from 10.00% y/y in August.
Consumer Price Index (CPI) which measures inflation grew by 0.84% m/m (0.21% lower than 1.05% m/m in August 2018).
