02 October 2018: The equity opens the week by declining, albeit marginally. The 0.17% decline in ASI was fueled by (
STANBIC ) taking a major hit of 7.61% coupled with (
GUARANTY ) shedding 0.14%, boosted by dips in the consumer goods sector. These included, (
NESTLE ), (
DANGSUGAR ) , (
FLOURMILL ) and (
GUINNESS ) plummeting by 0.07%, 2.11%, 1.25% and 2.44% respectively. (
CCNN ) investors almost suffered a stroke after the stock lost 8.3% in one day.
Ofcourse the day wasn't all bad, as the market enjoyed some advances, as well: (
FBNH ) by 3.37%, (
UNILEVER ) by 2.22%, (
CADBURY ) by 1.1%, (
FO ) by 6.73% and Lastly but not the least (
WAPCO ) by 3.60%.
