26 September 2018 : Lafarge is pretty determined to grow in Nigeria, and have decided to do another rights issue of N 90 bn coupled with the restructuring of its pending short-term shareholder loan of $315 million; in a quest to strengthen the company. 

The giant building solutions provider believes that the rights issue will help them to deleverage the company’s balance sheet and also provide a boost for business expansion. 

The company is quite hopeful for the Nigeria business as they force a stable pricing environment in comparison to their South African counter part which is undergoing a turnaround plan.
