Cap. gained 0.28% to close at 34,933.68 and NGN 12,753.49 billion respectively.
Market breadth was at 2.45x as gainers exceeded losers 23-18.
NSE YTD performance closed at 8.71%.
On a sectoral front, the key indices we watch performed well as the Industrial sector (0.00%), Banking sector (1.41%) and Oil and Gas (0.92%) closed in positive territory while Consumer goods (0.69%) closed in negative territory.
Total volume traded rose by 82.82% while total value traded rose by 15.16% as 240.46 million units of shares worth NGN 3.6 billion were traded.
The
NSE 30 gained 0.37% on Tuesday.
Top gainer today was
AIICO Insurance which rose 10% on the news of a private placement of N 5 billion at N 1.2 per unit (4.4 billion units). That price is still 20% higher than today's closing price.
