ASI stifled by bears on global fears   
26 June 2018 ( Lagos ): Even after opening on a positive note today, and trending upwards, ASI got hit by the negative performance of the oil and gas sector but stayed strong and observed a meager dip of 3.58 bps ( 0.01% ).

Even though ( OANDO ) advanced by 4.72%; the massive dip in ( JAPAULOIL ) by 8.89%, was a complete deal breaker.
 
The banking sector performed fairly well today with upsurges in ( FCMB ), (FIDELITYBK ) and ( ACCESS ) by 9%, 4.95% and 1.97% respectively over weighed the dips in ( ZENITHBANK ) by 1.73% and ( UBA ) by 0.94%

Th industrial goods and insurance sector saw some extreme changes , where ( WAPCO ) advanced by 2.49%; ( CCNN ) fell by 4.82%. Similarly, as ( PRESTIGE ) led laggards by dipping 4.76%; ( NEM ) shot up by steeply 9.87%.

Lastly, the consumer goods sector observed mixed sentiments. ( INTBREW) shed 6.14%; but advances in bellwether stocks like ( HONYFLOUR ) and ( DANGFLOUR ) by 4.67% and 1.45% respectively , helped the sector.
