INFLATION fell to 12.48% in April   
May 15 (Lagos) - Annual inflation for April 2018, released by the Nigerian Bureau of Statistics, shows inflation continued its downward trend for the 4th month of 2018, marking the 15th consecutive month of disinflation.

 

-     Headline Inflation declined to 12.48% y/y (0.86% lower than 13.34% y/y in March 2018)


-     The food sub-index dropped by 14.80% y/y from 16.08% y/y in March, while the All items less farm produce sub-index dropped by 10.90% y/y from 11.20% y/y in March.



The base effects are helping Inflation look like it is falling but if you go to markets, prices are high and people still find it hard to make ends meet.
