MODI kicks-off World Economic Forum at Davos   


Jan 23 (Lagos) - Prime Minister of India gave a keynote address today to kick off the World Economic Forum in Davos. 



He blamed the United Nations for failing to effect real change in the world through globalization and said “We must accept that globalization is slowly losing its luster,”



He also emphasized on threats to global economy from climate change and terrorism. 

PM Modi has enacted some of the most far reaching reforms in India's economy over this short tenure of the past 3.5 years. Under his leadership, India's economy has emerged as the fastest growing economy of the world and India's stock markets have repeatedly touched new all time highs. 



Other speakers at the World Economic Forum today include UK PM May, French President Macron and Germany's Merkel.
