Aug 15 (Lagos) - International Breweries Plc reported financial results for the first six months of 2012. Top line revenue increased by 28% to N 6.16 billion in H1 of 2012 up from N 4.78 billion in the H1 of 2011. Cost of production increased by 7% to N 3.27 billion in the half year 2012.
Marketing and promotional expenses reduced to N 319 million in 2012 from N 571 million in 2011. Adminitrative expenses increased sharpy to N 1.61 billion in 2012 from N 350 million in 2011. Profit before tax increased to N 1.08 billion in the half year up loss of 92 million in the same period of 2011.
Net profit increased to N 1.08 billion in the first six months of 2012 up from loss of N 92 million in the same period of 2011. Earning per share of INTBREW for H1 2012 is 48 kobo compared to loss of 4 kobo per share in 2011. Net profit margin of 18%.
