Money market rates fell at the Inter-Bank market today.
At the Inter-Bank foreign exchange market on Wednesday, the Naira stood at 161.85 against the US Dollar. In the real market, that rate was 164.50 on the streets of Ikeja, Lagos.
At the fixed income market today, yields on long and short tenor bonds fell, just as their prices rose.
Foreign stock markets closed on a positive note with NASDAQ up 0.79% and the Dow jones up by 0.27%, S&P up by 0.27%.
Crude oil prices rose today with Brent Crude oil up 2.5% at $ 107.80 per barrel in London and NYMEX crude oil futures at $ 92 per barrel in New York.
